2026 Faction Athletics Carnival 🏆

What an awesome Faction Athletics Carnival we had!

Before we announce our winners, it is important to recognise the incredible effort, enthusiasm and sportsmanship shown by our students throughout the carnival.

We saw so many students giving their best, encouraging their friends, cheering for their faction and showing great sportsmanship. Whether students finished first, second, third or somewhere else in the field, what mattered most was that they got involved, had a go and supported those around them.

Congratulations to our Champions

A huge congratulations to all of our Individual Champions. Students demonstrated outstanding effort across their events and should be very proud of their achievements.

We also congratulate our Spirit Award winners, who were recognised for their encouragement, teamwork, sportsmanship and fantastic faction spirit. These students helped make the carnival a positive and enjoyable experience for everyone.

And, of course, congratulations to our 2026 Overall Faction Champions — Cowan!

Well done to Cowan, but also a huge congratulations to Forrest, Curtin and Stirling. Every faction contributed to making the carnival such a fantastic event, and the competition throughout the day was great to watch.

Thank You to Our Families

A massive thank you to all the parents and families who came along to support us. It was fantastic to see so many people cheering from the sidelines and encouraging our students.

Even better, so many parents were willing to get involved and join in the fun!

We had parents competing in the Tug of War, Leader Ball and Parent Race — and let’s be honest, some of you took those events VERY seriously!

It was fantastic to see our Churchlands community coming together, having a laugh and showing our students that sport is about more than just winning. It is about having fun, giving things a go, supporting others and being part of a team.

Thank You to Our Staff

Finally, a huge thank you to all of our staff who helped organise, run and support the carnival. There was a huge amount of work happening behind the scenes to make the day possible, and we really appreciate everyone’s time, effort and support.

Congratulations to all of our students, Individual Champions and Spirit Award winners — and especially to Cowan!

Most importantly, well done to everyone for helping make the 2026 Faction Athletics Carnival such a fantastic day.

And, from Mr Ranford: the Faction Captains absolutely rocked! Thank you for your leadership, enthusiasm and support throughout the carnival.

Give yourselves a massive round of applause!

Go Churchlands!

And bring on next year!
