This is an incredible resource for the families of Churchlands PS to borrow. The picture books are written in English as well as another language. Reading and speaking in both English and your home language is valued. Â
Parents, it is so important for your child to keep building on vocabulary and comprehension skills in your home language, so keep asking questions and discussing stories and pictures with your children. Use a combination of English and your home language. It is so beneficial to read and discuss together, plus it is quality time spent. Â
Start looking carefully at the characters in the books you are reading. You might find an idea for the Book Week dress up day on Friday 28th August! We encourage all students of Churchlands PS to join in the fun and dress up as a book character for our Book Week celebrations. Â
