Room Seven and Seventeen Delicious Clay CakesÂ
The young artists from room seven and seventeen have finished their clay cakes by adding colour and shimmer to bring the authentic ceramic cake forms to life. We could almost smell the sugary icing rattling our teeth.Â
Make sure you pop into the front office to admire Room Seventeen’s Cake Collection supported by their Wayne Thiebaud inspired mixed media pop art.
Room Thirteen and Eleven Ceramic Wind CatchersÂ
Rooms thirteen and eleven have nearly completed their Wind Catchers. The clay discs were painted with the idea of unifying the set. I am so proud how these craftsmen have really shown Unity in their beautiful, crafty pieces of art.Â
Lunch Art ClubÂ
The wonderful art sparks held another lunch art workshop making pipe cleaner flowers. Wow the creations were original, varied and colourful. Well done team.Â
Next Term focus Â
All classes will be looking forward to more Clay Play Days and looking at different ways of creating the illusion of perspective and three dimensions in two-dimensional artwork. Â
Overall, I will be focusing on Peer and self-assessment techniques with potential to positively contribute to student learning and achievement.Â
