CBCA Book Week 2026 – Symphony of Stories Â
The wait is finally over – CBCA Book Week 2026 is here! Â
This year’s theme, Symphony of Stories, celebrates the wonderful way that stories, like music, can bring people together, spark our imaginations and take us on incredible journeys.Â
The theme Symphony of Stories encourages us to think about how every story has its own rhythm, characters and moments that come together to create something special. Just as different instruments contribute to a symphony, every book, author, illustrator and reader adds their own unique voice to the wonderful world of stories.Â
We have a myriad of exciting activities happening throughout the week, with plenty of opportunities for our students to celebrate their favourite books, authors and characters. One of the highlights will be our very own teacher, author and illustrator, Mr Burke, who will be visiting each class to share his love of storytelling and illustration.Â
The excitement will build throughout the week as we celebrate the stories that make us laugh, inspire us, teach us something new and take us on adventures.Â
And, of course, we will finish our celebrations with our Book Week Parade on Friday 28th August! We can’t wait to see our students bring their favourite book characters to life and join together for a fantastic celebration of reading.Â
