It’s been a busy and exciting time in our school library, which continues to be a warm, inclusive and welcoming place where students can explore, imagine and discover a love of reading.  It has been lovely to see so many students making the most of the library during lunch times. The board games and LEGO table have been especially popular, providing opportunities for creativity, collaboration and connection with others.Â
Premier’s Reading ChallengeÂ
The WA Premier’s Reading Challenge begins next week! This fantastic initiative encourages students to read regularly with the support of their parents, try new books and celebrate their reading achievements along the way. We strongly encourage all students to take part. Parents and caregivers can register their child online by visiting the official WA Premier’s Reading Challenge website, creating an account and registering their information. For those that participated in previous years, your profile will be stored, and you will only need to update your child’s year level.Â
2026 Library OfficersÂ
We are also thrilled to announce that our 2026 Library Officers have been selected. This year we received a record number of applications, which was wonderful to see and made the selection process a very tough one! We are so proud of all the students who put themselves forward.Â
Being a Library Officer is a special role within our school. It helps students develop leadership skills, build confidence, and take pride in caring for a space that belongs to everyone. Our Library Officers play an important part in creating a sense of belonging in the library, helping others, and making it a place where all students feel welcome.Â
