The Primary Extension Challenge (PEAC) program is for students in Years 5 and 6.Â
Students in the PEAC program work on new ideas, think in different ways, and learn with other students like them.Â
The PEAC test Â
Primary and Extension Challenge (PEAC) is a test for Year 4 students in Western Australian public schools.
All Year 4 students will do the PEAC test.Â
How the test is usedÂ
We use this test to:Â
- Choose students for the PEAC programÂ
- Help teachers support your child’s learning.Â
About the testÂ
The test has 50 questions.Â
Each question has a list of a few possible answers. Your child will choose the correct answer from a list.Â
The test has 2 parts:
- Verbal reasoning, which is thinking with wordsÂ
- Mathematical reasoning, which is thinking with numbers.Â
PEAC testing will take place on Tuesday 4 August 2026Â
If your child is sick and cannot come to school to do the test, contact the school by the end of the day they are sick. They may be able to arrange another test.Â
Choose not to do the testÂ
If you don’t want your child to do the PEAC test, contact your child’s school to let them know.  Â
What happens after the testÂ
If your child is chosen for PEAC, the school will contact you.Â
