At Churchlands Primary School, student leadership is nurtured through both structured teaching and practical experience. Teachers emphasize the development of essential leadership skills like communication, collaboration, and problem-solving, while our external partnerships—such as those with the Rotary Club—offer valuable mentorship and guidance.
Our leadership program spans across various specialist areas, including Drama, Music, Visual Arts, French, STEAM, and Physical Education. Central to this program are our School Councillors, who, alongside the specialist area leaders, contribute to shaping the school’s culture by actively engaging in decision-making and amplifying the student voice within the community.
These opportunities empower students to take on meaningful roles, fostering responsibility and teamwork while refining their leadership skills. Through this combination of in-school support and mentorship from external partners, our student leaders are equipped to excel in leadership roles, both at Churchlands Primary and beyond.
