Interschool Cross-Country Training Opportunity

Are you keen to get a feel for the Interschool Cross Country track? Want some expert tips to help you perform at your best?

We’re excited to offer a special training session at City Beach Football Oval (Fred Burton Way) on Friday, 20 June from 7:45 am to 8:20 am. This is a fantastic opportunity for students selected for the Interschool Cross Country team to preview the course and get some professional guidance.

We’re thrilled to be joined by the amazing team from Perth Running Club, who will run a tailored session to help students feel confident and prepared ahead of the big day on Wednesday, 25 June.

Important info:

  • Parents must stay for the duration of the session and take their child to school afterwards.
  • Please complete the attached form to indicate whether or not your child will be attending, so we can plan accordingly.

We look forward to seeing you bright and early at City Beach!

Running Club

Running club is on Wednesday mornings starting at 8.10 am to 8.40 am.  For new families to Churchlands PS, Running Club is where students run laps around the school earning points for their faction. Exercising in the mornings has many health benefits and is a great way to start the day.

Some benefits include:

  • improved physical and mental energy,
  • a better night’s sleep,
  • reach your fitness goals,
  • increased focus and concentration.

A reminder that mugs for Milo need to be placed on the table outside the undercover area before 8.25 am.  Milo is an acknowledgement of the effort put in during running club.

It is encouraged that students need to run at least 5 laps to get a Milo. Turning up late won’t allow enough time to get 5 laps done.

Can you please click on the link and fill in the attached form so Mr Marshall can organise your QR code card before your first Running Club. Kids of all ages are welcome to join in the fun, that is running club.  Remember to bring your QR code to every running club.
