Good afternoon parents and carers of year 3 and 4 students,
As we speak, our year 5 & 6 Coder Dojo students are vigourously wrapping up their final preparations for this year’s Robocup Jr Competition down at Murdoch Uni on the 22nd and 23rd of August. They have all done a marvellous job since the beginning of the year, readying themselves in teams, building their skills in problem solving, coding, engineering, team work and communicating. As always, it is amazing to see the growth in that time, and every student who participated should be proud of their committment and efforts in this journey.
To all those competeting, I wish them all the very best next weekend!
Once the competition finsihes, that signals the end of the year 5 & 6 program and the beginning of the 3 & 4 program. As per last year, the middle years program is the entry point to using the lego robots and coding them to autonomously perform to solve particular problems – and this case – it’s to push opponent robots out of an arena in Robot Sumo Wrestling! It is highly exciting and great fun for all – so if your year 3 or 4 child is interested in partaking, please complete the form below.

Once I receive registrations, I will work out the most popular day after school, and let all interested parties know. I intend to hold our first session in Week 6, on either Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday, between 3-4pm.
