A huge thank you to all the families who contributed containers for our Containers for Change competition. Together, we raised an incredible $1500 to support our Eco Shed and continue our sustainability efforts at Churchlands Primary School.
The results were very close, and we are so proud of everyone’s efforts:
- Room 4 – 2051 containers
- Room 13 – 2038 containers
- Room 5 – 1726 containers
What an amazing achievement by our school community—well done, everyone!
In Other News
This week in the Eco Shed we were very excited to harvest some of the vegetables we have been carefully tending. Students helped to pull up fresh potatoes, crunchy radishes, and a handful of carrots. They loved seeing how the vegetables had grown underground and enjoyed comparing the different sizes and shapes.
We would also like to thank Mr Wood, who gives up his time each week to assist us in the garden. His help and guidance are greatly appreciated, and we are very grateful for the difference he makes in supporting our gardening program.
We are now looking forward to using part of our harvest in cooking activities and continuing to care for the rest of our garden.
