Interschool Cross Country – Wednesday, 25 June

What a day! Our amazing Year 3–6 students took to the track at the Interschool Cross Country Carnival with determination, energy, and unstoppable spirit!
From the very first race to the final finish line, our runners gave it their all—pacing themselves, pushing through the tough parts, and showing incredible sportsmanship along the way. Whether they were sprinting up hills, cheering on their teammates, or digging deep to finish strong, every student showed what it means to be part of the Churchlands team.
The atmosphere was buzzing with excitement, and the effort from every runner was nothing short of inspiring. It wasn’t just about winning—it was about doing your best, staying positive, and never giving up. The Churchlands PS team ended up the day finishing 4th out of the 10 schools that competed.
A huge congratulations to all our runners, staff, and supporters who made the day such a success. You’ve made us proud, and your hard work and team spirit were on full display.
A special mention of Holly T (2nd in year 3 girls), Roscoe T (2nd in year 5 boys), Jesi A (1st in year 6 girls), Archie B (1st in year 6 boys).

Running Club

Running club is on Wednesday mornings starting at 8.10 am to 8.40 am.  For new families to Churchlands PS, Running Club is where students run laps around the school earning points for their faction. Exercising in the mornings has many health benefits and is a great way to start the day.
Some benefits include:
improved physical and mental energy,
a better night’s sleep,
reach your fitness goals,
increased focus and concentration.

A reminder that mugs for Milo need to be placed on the table outside the undercover area before 8.25 am.  Milo is an acknowledgement of the effort put in during running club.
It is encouraged that students need to run at least 5 laps to get a Milo. Turning up late won’t allow enough time to get 5 laps done.
Can you please click on the link and fill in the attached form so Mr Marshall can organise your QR code card before your first Running Club. Kids of all ages are welcome to join in the fun, that is running club.  Remember to bring your QR code to every running club.
