Our school is committed to supporting the wellbeing and learning needs of all students, including those who may benefit from therapy services during school hours. In line with the Department of Education’s policies, families may request to have an external therapist such as a speech pathologist, occupational therapist etc to provide services to their child during the school day. 

To initiate this process, parents or carers are to follow the CPS Therapists in Schools Process.  

Once the request is received, the school will review the application to ensure that: 

  • The service aligns with the student’s documented learning and wellbeing needs 
  • The provider meets all departmental requirements (including current Working with Children Check, public liability insurance, and professional qualifications) 
  • The service delivery can be scheduled in a way that supports, classroom learning 

The school will then coordinate with the family and provider to finalise arrangements. We are here to support families through each step and ensure that services are delivered in a safe, appropriate, and educationally supportive manner.
