CPS Athletics Carnival – Celebrating Effort, Fun and the Churchlands Way.

What an incredible two days of energy, enthusiasm, and community spirit at our Athletics Carnival! The ‘Churchlands Way’ was on full display, with students, staff, and families coming together to create a vibrant and supportive atmosphere.

With the fantastic weather on Friday, we were reminded how lucky we are to live in beautiful Perth.

A huge congratulations to all CPS students for showing fantastic sportsmanship, giving their best, and embracing every challenge with a smile. Success at Churchlands isn’t just about results; it’s about trying hard, having fun, and improving in whatever you’re doing. And that’s exactly what we saw from our amazing students.

Special thanks to our dedicated Sports Captains, who worked tirelessly alongside staff to ensure events ran smoothly. No doubt there were a few tired legs on the weekend!

We’re also incredibly grateful to Mr Howesmith for keeping the energy high with his music and PA magic, and to our STEAM and Music Teams for capturing the spirit of the carnival and creating such a memorable atmosphere.

To our wider Churchlands community—thank you for your ongoing support. And to our wonderful CPS staff—your efforts behind the scenes made this event a true celebration of what makes our school so special.

Well done, everyone!

A huge congratulations to the students who were recognised with the Spirit Award during our Athletics Carnival. These students truly embodied the Churchlands School ValuesRespect, Resilience, Engage, and Excel—through their positive attitudes, teamwork, and determination.

This fortnight’s PBS focus on collaboration and cooperation was clearly demonstrated, with students supporting one another, working together, and celebrating each other’s efforts. It was wonderful to see so many shining examples of the Churchlands spirit in action!
