The CPS Cross Country is on Wednesday, 28 May and the kids have been working tirelessly to have themselves in peak condition for the event.

Our year 4-6 students will compete in their races, from 11:15am through until lunchtime (1:05pm). There will be a girl and a boy’s race for each year level, meaning there will be 14 races over the day. Presentations of medallions will be at the conclusion of each block, and the overall (faction points) presentation will be at the conclusion of our year 6 races.

Course maps should be on display inside your child’s class for your reference.

Interschool Winter Sports

Our senior students kicked off their interschool sports season with great energy and enthusiasm last Friday, taking on West Leederville right here at Churchlands!

It was fantastic to see so many students giving their all, representing our school with pride, sportsmanship, and the true Churchlands Way.

Here are the results (CPS scores listed first):
🏐 Netball A: 28-7
🏐 Netball B: 6-4
🏉 AFL: 37-87
Soccer: 0-3

With four more games to go, I’m excited to see how our teams continue to grow, improve, and enjoy the journey. Go Churchlands!

Games still to come:

Week 3 – Friday, 16 May vs Floreat Park PS at Floreat Park

Week 4 – Friday, 23 May vs Wembley Downs at Wembley Downs

Week 6 – Friday, 6 June vs City Beach at City Beach

Week 7 – Friday, 13 June vs Woodlands at Churchlands PS

Running Club

Running club is on Wednesday mornings starting at 8:10am to 8:40am. For new families to Churchlands PS, Running Club is where students run laps around the school earning points for their faction. Exercising in the mornings has many health benefits and is a great way to start the day.

Some benefits include:

  • Improved physical and mental energy,
  • A better night’s sleep,
  • Reach your fitness goals,
  • Increased focus and concentration.

A reminder that mugs for Milo need to be placed on the table outside the undercover area before 8:25am. Milo is an acknowledgement of the effort put in during running club.

It is encouraged that students need to run at least 5 laps to get a Milo. Turning up late won’t allow enough time to get 5 laps done.

Can you please click on the link and fill in the attached form so Mr Marshall can organise your QR code card before your first Running Club. Kids of all ages are welcome to join in the fun, that is running club.  Remember to bring your QR code to every running club.
