Art Work Story:
This piece embodies the journey and values of Churchlands Primary School. It reflects the students’ journey through school and beyond, growing like the Maali into strong and resilient individuals.
The artwork illustrates Noongar families uniting, camping, and gathering resources – plants and animals – to care for everyone.
Its wavy movement represents Noongar country and its waters, emphasizing the importance of the land and its connection to both the community and Herdsman Lake area.
