Adaptations of Animals of Herdsman Lake

To contribute to the CPS Frog Pond Project, our Year 5 students researched the wetland habitats of Herdsman Lake, specifically exploring the adaptations of some of the local animals. As part of their Biological Science and Design Technology learning, in teams, they got to choose an animal and collaborate to find out how it has evolved to thrive in the wetland environment.

Year 5 students were also tasked with learning the Nyoongar words for various local flora and fauna.

The Design Process was followed by students through the investigation and findings were presented in the form of engaging, interactive digital kiosks created in Scratch.
